Like traditional structural buildings, air membrane structure buildings are not perfect, and the common problems summarized by air membrane manufacturers are as follows:

(1) The air tightness is damaged

The inflatable membrane structure building is supported by air, and the sealing requirement is relatively high, and whether air leakage is the most important inspection element. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly test the tightness, strength and stiffness of each connection point of the inflatable membrane to check whether there is a risk of air leakage in the membrane structure. At the same time, it is also necessary to check whether the appearance of the inflatable membrane material is damaged, and whether the corrosion resistance of the anchoring bolts and other metal components is damaged.

(2) The membrane is wrinkled or damaged

Air membrane is a kind of material with bending and compressive stiffness approaching zero. In the design, the shape finding analysis and load analysis are carried out, and the membrane will not produce folds. Generally, when the principal strain in one direction is negative, the membrane element will appear unidirectional fold or full fold state.

Because the air membrane structure building is a flexible building, it will cause displacement due to swing in the strong wind, and the load acting on the structure will be redistributed through displacement. Therefore, the main body of the air membrane needs to maintain an appropriate safe distance from indoor and outdoor large equipment and buildings to prevent the destruction of the membrane body. The air membrane is afraid of sharp objects, so all the equipment and objects with sharp edges inside the air membrane building should be protected and isolated with MATS to avoid touching and scratching the main body of the membrane structure.

(3) Air pressure difference is common

For the inflatable membrane structure, keeping the inflatable pressure within the design range is the key to maintain the normal operation of the air membrane building. If the indoor and outdoor air pressure difference of the air membrane building is abnormal, it will affect the stability of the inflatable membrane structure, so that it is not enough to resist the damage of strong winds and heavy snow.

The inflation pressure is closely related to the anchoring state of the foundation, the fan equipment, the control system, the backup power supply and the inflation membrane structure itself, so in the daily use and maintenance process, it is necessary to ensure that these equipment is always in normal operation.

(4) Color difference

In the production process of the membrane material in the air membrane manufacturer, various corresponding coatings are required to be applied on the substrate of the polyester fiber fabric or glass fiber fabric to improve the durability, water resistance, self-cleaning and physical properties of the membrane material. However, the color of the membrane produced in different batches often has a certain difference. If the membrane with obvious color difference is placed in the same project, the beauty of the air membrane building will be affected.
