How is the lighting of the air inflated membrane building realised ?

There are two main ways of lighting for air inflated membrane buildings: one is natural lighting and the other is artificial supplemental lighting.

The so-called natural lighting is the use of light-transmitting membrane material at the appropriate position of the membrane body to ensure that the interior of the building can have sufficient light source in the daytime when the weather is sunny, even if the lighting is not switched on.

 

 

So, in order to get good natural lighting, the larger the area of the translucent membrane, the better?

Of course not. Generally speaking, the area of translucent membrane should not be too large for air inflated membrane buildings with high requirements of heat preservation and insulation. According to the experience of Xinyuan Air Dome the proportion of light-transmitting membrane can be controlled at about 20% of the projected area of the building. This can ensure effective natural lighting, but will not have too much influence on the thermal insulation effect of the air membrane building.

When the natural lighting is not enough to meet the lighting needs of the building, we need to make up for the artificial light, that is to say, need to be equipped with the corresponding lighting system in the air film building. The design of the lighting system should be in accordance with the Standard for Lighting Design of Buildings GB50034.

The lighting system of Xinyuan Air Dome has two installation methods: column lighting and hanging lighting.

Column lighting is to install 4-5 meters light poles at the edge of the air membrane, and each pole is equipped with 2-3 LED special lights for air inflated membrane, and the light irradiated on the membrane body produces soft reflected light.

Pendant lighting is to set up a hanging point on the air membrane, and use a rope to hang the air inflated membrane special LED pendant lights on the hanging point. Compared with column lighting, hanging lighting can achieve better lighting effect due to its even arrangement, but its installation and maintenance are not as convenient as column lighting.

In addition to the choice of lighting methods, Xinyuan Air Dome can formulate suitable lighting control systems according to the usage requirements to meet the lighting requirements of the venues under different usage conditions.
