This project marks the first foundation pit air dome undertaken by Xinyuan Air Dome, constructed in May 2024. It covers an area of 4,320 sqm, with a span of 42m and a height of 14m. Key characteristics include: the site is located on Liangmaqiao East Street in Beijing's Chaoyang District, necessitating high environmental protection standards during construction. Space was limited, and the air dome features an irregular L-shape with complex contours. There's also a significant height difference in the foundation pit support, reaching a maximum of 4m.
This foundation pit air dome utilizes air pressure to support its membrane structure, creating an enclosed space that effectively contains dust and noise. This significantly reduces their impact on the external environment.
Due to the large span of the foundation pit, its complex layout, irregular corners, and localized height differences, designing the air dome's shape was particularly challenging. For this highly irregular site, we employed various design software for analysis and precise modeling to minimize on-site installation errors. The result is a highly accurate, L-shaped, irregular foundation pit air dome.
