Located in Bandung, the capital of West Java Province in Indonesia, this air-supported membrane padel court project is the region’s first of its kind. With a total floor area of approximately 1,200 square metres, it has been specifically designed to withstand Bandung’s tropical highland climate, characterised by heavy rainfall and strong winds. Combining structural safety, environmental comfort and intelligent operation and maintenance, the facility sets a new benchmark for the local sports and leisure industry.
Xinyuan Air-Supported Membrane employs an air-supported membrane structure, relying on the pressure differential between the interior and exterior for stable support. With no obstructing beams or columns, it offers an open space with excellent mechanical performance. In response to Bandung’s year-round rainfall and strong monsoon winds, high-strength PVDF membrane material has been selected in conjunction with a cable-net system. This configuration can withstand strong winds and torrential rain, whilst also offering mould-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties, making it suitable for tropical, high-humidity environments and ensuring the venue’s long-term safe and stable operation.
