This foundation pit project is located on the west side of Hebei Medical University First Hospital in Shijiazhuang. It covers an area of 10,400 sqm with a maximum span of 90m. Due to the project's proximity to a hospital, a school, and residential areas, resulting in a high population density, there was a critical need to control noise and dust impact on residents' lives during construction. Therefore, an air dome structure was used to fully enclose the foundation pit construction site.
This project utilizes the synergistic effect of a high-strength inflatable membrane structure and an intelligent control system. This ensures structural stability while meeting the demand for an irregular covering over a complex foundation pit. It successfully created a column-free space covering an ultra-large span, providing an all-weather working environment for foundation pit construction.
